I included templates for their brainstorming of tasks as well as a calendar and examples of plans that I created for their use. Audience included students, staff, and faculty from across both campuses.

How I Teach (digitally), April 2023. I was invited by Dr. Brad Hinson to interview with Dr. Lori Elliott to discuss and demonstrate how I use Milanote in my classes. From Hinson, “(Robin), I recall from some data that I saw – – you are the ONLY faculty member in the school teaching across every modality, i.e. online, hybrid, classroom, and remote. You are boundaryless.”

Make Lei, Talk Story: Honoring Our Epistemologies Through Hānai Pedagogy, March 9, 2023. As part of my ThinqStudio fellowship, I held an all-campus workshop for students, faculty, and staff to share my Hānai Pedagogical framework and research while also teaching participants how to make a ceremonial lei (garland) to honor the mentors and experiences in their academic and professional lives. Together, we created a space for each other to share our epistemologies of education while creating a beautiful representation of our background, work, and the mentorships that shaped us.

This panel and celebration is co-hosted by University of Colorado Denver and the TRIO McNair Scholars Program through a virtual session open to all students.

Doctoral Students of Color Alumni Panelist, February 2, 2021. Working with CU alumni of Color, I planned and helped to organize a panel discussion of doctoral alums moderated by a current doctoral student. I also participated in the panel to share my own academic and professional experiences and to share opportunities for mentorship for current doctoral students.

Dining with Docs: COVID-19 Edition, 2020. I organized and executed a virtual townhall with five medical experts and 20 children (ages 8-12) from across North America. This opportunity gave children a chance to share their concerns and questions around COVID-19, its impact on future socialization, and how to protect themselves.

Teacher and Staff Trainings for Pathways2Teaching, 2016 – 2020. As the program director for Pathways2Teaching, I co-facilitated presentations and teacher trainings for new staff at the beginning of each school year. Trainings included information about the program, building locally and culturally sensitive social justice curricula in line with high school and university standards, and weekly mentoring meetings with teachers and their students throughout the school year (both in-person and virtually for our local and out-of-state partners).

Additionally, I provided ongoing professional development for 15 teachers in the Pathways2Teaching program (UEDU 1930) by providing bimonthly curriculum support, co-teaching monthly classes on specialized topics including multilingual education (CLDE 1030) and special education (SPED 1030), conducting individualized teacher reflection meetings; providing student research, writing, and fieldwork support; and other programmatic needs as necessary. This support is provided during face-to-face meetings with Colorado-based teachers and students, and virtually through Zoom meetings with out-of-state educators and students.
